午後大雨　竹東水淹民宅

下午大雨讓新竹縣竹東鎮上多處積水，其中位於中正路、工業一路口附近，更一度因排水溝來不及吞納水勢而淹水，倒灌進到附近民宅屋內。新竹縣消防局獲報後前往現場勘災，並聯絡竹東鎮公所支援沙包及抽水機至現場。
 
家住竹東鎮中正路的70多歲的張老太太說，下午3時起開始降下大雨，由於雨勢來的又急又猛，導致家門口淹水達到腳踝，並倒灌進屋內。張老太太說，住在這裡一輩子，還是第1次遇到這樣淹水，現在只能等水退後再清理。
 
新竹縣消防局表示，民眾通報淹水狀況後，立即派遣竹東消防分隊到現場處理。同時因警消到場後雨勢還在持續，因此也協調竹東鎮公所徵調沙包及小型抽水機到現場支援。
 
竹東地區雨勢在晚間7時左右趨緩，淹水也逐漸退去，但由於擔心入夜後還會降下大雨，竹東消防分隊表示，徵調來的沙包將會提供給附近居民堆在家門口，同時小型抽水機也留在現場待命防災。（侯力元／新竹報導）
