冰島火山將爆發 提升至紅色警戒

冰島境內最大火山之一的巴達本加（Bardarbunga）火山即將爆發，可能會排放大量的火山灰，冰島將航空預警級別提升至最高的紅色等級，民航部門已將火山附近列為禁飛區，但沒有關閉全國領空。

冰島火山爆發預警系統一共分成五個等級，紅色警告是最高級的警告類別。冰島氣象局警告，巴達本加火山已經在冰帽底下開始小幅度的噴發，並伴隨地震出現。

冰島政府表示，已經關閉了火山上空的空中交通，但冰島所有機場目前仍然開放。

四年前冰島的另一座艾雅法拉（Eyjafjallajokull）火山爆發，飄散大量的火山灰，造成歐洲的領空大規模關閉，歐洲各大機場擠滿無法搭機的乘客，經濟損失估計高達15至25億歐元；如果火山灰被吸入飛機引擎，也有可能造成飛航危險。
