因為廣告利潤愈來愈薄，加上人事以及研發支出增加，Google今年第一季獲利成長不如預期，股票盤後重挫。

儘管Google依然隸屬全世界最賺錢的企業之列，但是在業務從電腦轉型到平板與手機的過程中，因為廣告業者還處於觀望階段，它的獲利也受到影響。

今年一到三月，Google營收較去年同期，成長百分之19 ，獲利率則成長不到百分之三。第一季，它賺了34億五千萬美元，平均每股獲利5.04美元，就算排除員工配股與一次性支出，它的獲利也低於市場預估。
