《國際產業》通用說謊？消費者團體：303起死亡與安全氣囊故障有關

【時報-記者柯婉琇綜合外電報導】根據消費者監督團體汽車安全中心（The Center for Auto Safety）周四夜間發布的最新調查，在通用汽車上月召修的160萬輛小客車中，因點火開關故障、導致安全氣囊不能正常打開而致死的人數，由美國安全監管單位登記在案的已有303起。

通用先前宣布，在這一次的召回車輛中有34件車禍案件、造成12人死亡。這些召回的車輛包括2005～2007年出廠的Chevrolet Cobalt與2003～2007年出廠的Saturn Ion。

儘管早在2001年即獲知點火開關存在瑕疵，通用卻遲至今年2月才宣布召修問題車輛，引起消費者與相關團體的強烈抨擊。

汽車安全中心表示，這項調查結果是參考美國國家公路交通安全管理局致命分析報告系統裡的車禍與致死數據。

通用對此表示，該團體新提出的報告是基於原始數據，且未經嚴密的分析，「這純粹只是為了得到有意義的結論所做的推測」。
