KYC（Know Your Customer）認識客戶，是金融機構在從事各項業務及商品銷售時，必須做到的基本動作，了解客戶後，才能提供合適的商品給客戶，也可避免衍生投資糾紛。

在客戶開戶，或購買金融商品前，必須先審查客戶的身份、信用狀況、往來銀行資料後，並建檔，才知道客戶可以承受的風險等級，合適購買什麼樣的商品。
