文化處長徐芬春說，近年來縣府陸陸續續完成許多古蹟、歷史建築修復，讓古蹟重新獲得生命，希望古蹟日活動能夠成為常態性，今年特地以最夯的空拍技術，讓民眾從不同的視野看看古蹟。

徐芬春說，站在地面上看古蹟，和從天空上看下來，完全是不同的風貌， 從上方看下來，可以看到傳統的「風水」概念，以恆春古城來說，東、西、南、北四門並非是以整齊的相對位置建立，而是依靠著後方的海岸山脈。

她解釋，因為風水的概念，建築物必須要有「靠山」。展出照片的宗聖公祠也是同樣道理，前有萬年溪，後方因為沒有山，當年建築師就自己蓋了一座山丘，該特點只有從空拍照片中，能夠觀察出來。

負責空拍的攝影師江敬業說，自己酷愛拍古蹟，希望透過空拍技術，勾起民眾對於古蹟的好奇心，進一步願意了解古蹟，接觸這些珍貴的資產。
