美國政府為遏止校園性侵，總統歐巴馬與副總統拜登19日發起一場公益活動「責任在我」（It's on Us），以身為人父的立場，呼籲旁觀者負起責任、預防性侵。這場活動將校園男性列為動員重點，呼籲男性目擊者給予支援，加強關注校園性侵問題。

研究表示，絕大多數女大學生受害人與施暴者相識，性侵還常與酒及藥物有關，但只有12%的受害人報警，歐巴馬譴責這是「對性侵的無聲容忍」，是「對基本人性的挑戰」。

出席活動助陣的名人包含熱門電視劇「廣告狂人」（Mad Men）演員喬漢姆（Jon Hamm）、演出「醜聞風暴」的女星凱莉華盛頓（Kerry Washington）和NBA球員勒夫（Kevin Love）等人，呼籲學生與其他校園人士將阻止性侵視為己任。

歐巴馬對大學男生說：「你們有責任阻止你的朋友帶女生回家」，拜登更表示，廣大男士應「站出來負責任、去干預，你有義務去制止那些在校園內欺負他人的不法之徒」。

白宮在今年1月建立的「反校園性侵特別小組」，19日也公布三份文件，以幫助大學校園改善處理性侵事件的方式，詳情公布於「NotAlone.gov」網站，網址https://www.notalone.gov/。
