避伊毒 美駐賴使館家屬撤首都

（中央社記者徐梅玉約翰尼斯堡2014年8月8日專電）美國國務院昨天晚間下令駐賴比瑞亞使館所有人員的家屬，悉數撤離首都蒙羅維亞，避免感染伊波拉病毒。

南非新聞網站「新聞24」（news24）今天引述美國國務院昨晚1份聲明稿報導，國務院強制要求，除了駐館工作人員外，居住在蒙羅維亞（Monrovia）的使館人員眷屬，全數撤離，避免感染伊波拉病毒。

國務院發言人表示，自從疫情爆發後，賴國一直缺乏醫療設備，為防止疫情擴散，強制美僑撤離蒙羅維亞是醫療中心的決定。

伊波拉病毒自今年2月在西非爆發以來，已使賴比瑞亞、獅子山共和國、幾內亞與奈及利亞4國，近1000人死亡。
