速食業員工 發動全球罷工

速食業餐廳員工下周將舉行一天的全球抗議與罷工行動日，以爭取更好的待遇和工作環境。

速食業員工7日首次高舉國際工會大旗在紐約舉行會議，他們同意5月15日發起這項抗議運動，在全美150個城市發動罷工，並在世界33個國家進行示威抗議。

籌劃人員在聲明中說：「來自六大洲的幾十個國家員工宣布，他們將加入這項聲勢日益擴大的運動，要求提高在麥當勞、漢堡王、溫蒂與肯德基等餐廳工作的薪資和權益。」

70個國際示威人士聚集在曼哈頓一家麥當勞餐廳前面，等候這項宣布。

目前很多美國速食連鎖網都以聯邦最低工資每小時7.25美元支付員工，美國的速食業員工如今要求把時薪倍增到15美元。

2012年底時，約200位速食業員工開始在紐約抗議，這項運動最後擴散到全美100個城市。

國際食物、農業、旅館、餐廳、宴會、菸草聯合工人協會(IUF)為5月15日策劃的活動，包括在日本的30家麥當勞餐廳進行抗議，在巴西五個州與摩洛哥全國舉行示威，並在義大利的羅馬、威尼斯和米蘭發動罷工。
