這隻袋鼠 真的會跳躍

漢諾威工業展會場裡展出一具顯露內部構造的「仿生機器袋鼠」。這隻機器袋鼠能像真的袋鼠一樣奔跑跳躍，腿部的「肌腱」結合氣體力學彈簧，使動作精確平穩。腿向後蹬就能夠使它向前躍進，而在空中時腿又會收回到前方，尾巴負責整個身體的平衡。

德國費斯托自動化機械公司打造出這隻機器袋鼠，牠跳躍的樣子就像真的袋鼠。牠的重量只有15磅出頭 (約6.8公斤)，站立時高度99公分，向前跳躍最遠約76公分、垂直跳躍最高約45.7公分。

牠短小的前腳、長而彎曲的尾巴都是模仿袋鼠外型。身體與兩隻後腳裝了感應器，感知腳部運動姿態，著陸時，用之前跳躍累積的能量再繼續向前跳。袋鼠的臀部裝兩具馬達，尾巴有一具，一具貯壓器藏在肚子裡。

使用者透過手環無線遙控袋鼠的動作，運用各種手勢讓袋鼠向前跳或者繞圈圈。雖然費斯托公司並未提到這隻袋鼠的實際用途或商業細節，但牠代表人類成功製造出高擬真度的「機器動物」。費斯托公司去年春天發表仿生飛行器，外型如同一隻蜻蜓。
