布袋戲蘊涵著戲劇、音樂、雕刻、語言等多種藝術，也是臺灣極具代表性的傳統文化，不論大人小孩都能輕鬆融入有趣的偶戲世界。

新北市新莊布袋戲文物館於93 年5 月22 日開館啟用，多年來以展現布袋戲文化內涵為目標，除邀請在地劇團參與，讓民眾得以認識本地偶戲特色外，亦逐步邀請全國知名劇團前來展演，讓新北市新莊布袋戲文物館成為瞭解掌中藝術的最佳園地。

今年適逢10週年，特邀請新莊在地團隊共襄盛舉、歡度館慶，另外，還有真快樂掌中劇團─掌中乾坤跨古今戲偶展哦！另為推廣傳統藝術，於今年7 月舉辦布袋戲研習營，以豐富市民精神生活並活化館舍，期望藉由研習營，讓大小朋友多多認識與體驗掌中技藝，讓文化走入生活，讓布袋戲藝術生生不息，使「藝術生活化，生活藝術化」，並啟發美學素養及開創文化發展的多元性。
