　　BANDAI NAMCO Games 表示，《化神降世》從 BANDAI NAMCO Games 格鬥遊戲血統中誕生，由《鐵拳》、《劍魂》、《機動戰士鋼彈 極限 VS.》研發團隊聯手研發，遊戲特色結合 2 對 2 玩法，具備多樣性的人物與角色，還有呈現真實世界城市景觀、可以準確反應毀滅情況的戰場；在遊戲中的不同性格類型角色都具有獨特的技能與力量，將可以展現多樣化的遊玩風格，藉由玩家的搭配組合將可以展現其策略性。玩家可以在遊戲 3D 舞台中奔跑、跳躍、飛行，進行近距離激戰或是遠程攻擊等，享受與敵方生死對決的刺激感。

　　玩家在遊戲中將扮演「化神（暫譯）」角色，背景設定在人類為了競相避免悲劇發生，紛紛嘗試掌控不為人之的神力，企圖重新塑造世界的規則。由於化身本身具備特殊能力，加上有邪惡者企圖利用此能力來達成其不當目標，使得化神被一般人民所厭惡與懼怕。有一天，一個神祕的聲音召喚著化神，告訴著他們要避免破壞就是要消滅此時代的君主，因此，化神間大戰就此展開，而地球的命運如何，就決定在這場巨大的戰鬥之中。
