搶攻美國太陽能市場！昭和殼牌傳在紐約建面板廠

日經新聞23日報導，日本昭和殼牌石油(Showa Shell Sekiyu K.K.)旗下全球最大CIS薄膜太陽能電池生產子公司Solar Frontier已和美國紐約州政府展開協商，Solar Frontier計劃於紐約興建一座採用最先端技術的太陽能電池面板廠。報導指出，該座紐約太陽能電池廠將導入可將製造成本較現行產品縮減3成的量產技術，預計最快將在2017年導入量產，預估包含研發費在內的總事業費用最高將達700億日圓。

報導指出，該座紐約太陽能電池廠的產能規模雖未定，惟預估可能將高於Panasonic甫於去年導入量產的馬來西亞工廠(年產能達30萬kW)。報導指出，日本國內太陽能電池需求雖因「再生能源特別措施法案」上路而持續呈現暴增，惟Solar Frontier預估日本該「特需」仍有其界限，故除了美國之外，Solar Frontier也計劃於中東、亞洲設廠。

據報導，2013年美國新增太陽能發電設備導入量(開始進行發電的新增設備容量)僅次於中國大陸、日本位居全球第3大，且預估2017年包含中南美在內的美洲累計導入量將達約5,380萬KW、將達2012年的6倍水準。
