火星衝將至 天文館開放觀測室

台北市天文館今天說，4月9日是「火星衝」，是近期觀測火星的最佳機會，天文館將在4月每個週六晚間開放大型天文望遠鏡，供民眾觀測火星。

台北市立天文科學教育館表示，每相隔約2年又49天，火星與太陽會位在地球兩側，三顆星球連成一條直線，稱為火星衝。

天文館表示，火星衝時的火星由於距離地球比較近，且被太陽照亮的一面朝向地球，明亮而易於觀察，即使在光害嚴重的都市中，都可以用肉眼看到它的紅色星光，也比較容易利用望遠鏡看清楚火星地表特徵。

天文館說，火星將於9日到達衝的位置，是自2012年3月以來最適合觀察火星的時刻。不過，火星觀察並不只限於火星衝當天，即日起到5月底都適合觀察，只要天氣晴朗，甚至可用肉眼觀察到。

天文館將在4月的每週六晚間7時至9時免費開放第2觀測室，讓民眾利用口徑20公分的天文望遠鏡一窺火星風采，屆時將可看到火星地表上的極冠及暗斑等特徵。除觀看火星外，還可觀看月球及木星，若天氣不佳，將進行望遠鏡儀器原理解說。
