世銀警告伊波拉在西非的恐懼因素

法新社報導，世界銀行17日警告，人們對伊波拉的恐懼已使西非的經濟活動停滯；「恐懼因素」促使那些未受感染的人避開原本的耕作、挖礦、製造等工作，如此一來他們的生產將減少、賺得少也花得少。

世界銀行說：「如果伊波拉疫情在幾內亞、賴比瑞亞及獅子山國持續擴大，其經濟影響將增為八倍，這對原本即脆弱的國家而言，可能造成災難性影響。」
