有關安裝joomla2.5的疑難

我根據《Joomla！2.5素人架站計畫》一書指示安裝joomla2.5：

先是安裝XAMPP1.7.7版本，然後安裝joomla2.5，到最後成功進入joomla，setup資料庫時(這本書的2-22頁寫到明：root帳號是没有密碼的，現在先不要輸入任何內容)，卻出現以下
提示：

這個帳號可能没有足夠的建立資料庫的權限。必要的資料庫可能需要在你安裝Joomla前另外建立好。

後來我根據《Joomla！2.5素人架站計畫》一書指示設定密碼。先是前往PHPMyAdmin程式介面，然後到權限。點選了root一項作編輯，然後設定密碼。但到安裝joomla時，便出現以下提示：

無法連接到資料庫。連接器回傳編號: 2

請問我要如何做才能順利安裝Joomla程式？
