墨西哥礦場硫酸外洩 80所學校關閉

在墨西哥西北部的一處銅礦發生硫酸外洩事件、並且污染了索諾拉河(Sonora River)之後，墨西哥當局18日表示，已經關閉了80所學校。
索諾拉州民防機構主管阿利亞斯(Jesus Arias)說，由於缺乏用水，加上部份學校鄰近受污染的河道，約有80所學校的5千名學生本週停課。
這個月6日，墨西哥集團(Grupo Mexico)旗下礦業公司Buenavista，外洩了大約4萬立方公尺用來溶解銅礦的硫酸，流入索諾拉河支流巴卡努奇河(Bacanuchi River)。
墨西哥當局已切斷對西北部7個城鎮、約2萬居民的供水，因為外洩的有毒物質造成河水變橙色，引發魚類和牲畜死亡。
墨西哥檢方表示，這處礦場可能面臨22.4萬美元的罰款。
