路透報導，伊朗最高精神領袖哈米尼15日表示，他個人反對美國的提議，拒絕與美國會面，討論聯合打擊好戰組織「伊斯蘭國」（IS）一事。哈米尼的談話，對正努力設法建立軍事聯盟，對抗伊拉克與敘利亞境內IS的美國，無疑是一大打擊。

15日於巴黎集會的全球領袖，均公開支持對付IS的軍事行動，然而伊朗卻未受邀出席會談。

哈米尼指控華府「扯謊」，稱是美國將伊朗排除在軍事聯盟之外，其實是伊朗拒絕參與。

哈米尼罕見直接干預外交政策說，華府曾透過伊拉克巴格達的伊朗大使館與伊朗接觸，要求會面，討論合作對付IS。
