環境知識競賽 環保志工拚高下

（中央社台北2014年8月23日電）全國環保志（義）工環境知識競賽今天在新竹縣立體育館舉行，參賽隊伍由全台22縣市環保局領軍，總計超過2000人參與，每個縣市無不卯足全力爭奪名次。

環保署署長魏國彥表示，國外對台灣在環境教育及垃圾不落地等環保作為非常驚艷，原因來自台灣在環境教育的推動非常成功，今天舉辦的環保志（義）工環境知識競賽就是最好的表現。

曾有外國友人問魏國彥，台灣環保標章的展現上，為4R而非國際上的3R，魏國彥開玩笑說，其實台灣有第5R，是Relationship，因為台灣人有非常緊密的人脈關係，「我們有鄉里、社區環保志工，來協助我們讓環境更美好」。

根據環保署統計，目前直轄市、縣（市）政府環保志（義）工隊計2960隊，人數超過14萬人，平日服務內容包括執行環境教育、河川巡守、資源回收分類、節能減碳等環境工作。

環保署表示，透過環保志（義）工將環境教育理念帶入社區、家庭和學校，透過公民參與機制，讓環保精神發揚光大，期盼能夠有更多民眾加入環保志（義）工的行列，一起共同守護、保育居住的土地。
