義大利外交部網站證實，一名義大利記者13日在加薩地帶遭遇爆炸身亡。

卡米利是以色列攻擊加薩走廊以來，第一位喪生的外國記者。

義大利外交部網顯示，遇難記者是35歲義大利籍的美聯社記者卡米利（Simone Camilli），他為多家新聞機構工作。

新華社報導，13日一名巴勒斯坦拆彈專家正在拆除一枚據說來自以色列的炸彈，爆炸造成5人身亡，包括三名巴勒斯坦警察、一名巴勒斯坦翻譯及記者卡米利。另有一美聯社攝影記者穆撒（Hatem Moussa）等4人重傷。

卡米利是以色列攻擊加薩走廊以來，第一位喪生的外國記者。衝突發生以來，已造成1900名巴勒斯坦人及67名以色列人喪生。
