「德國梅西」自認較像C羅

Mario Goetze一腳將德國帶向冠軍，原本就是德國新生代好手，進球後更成了當紅炸子雞，有「德國Messi」綽號的他，坦言不想接受這個外號，他的模範另有其人。

決賽他上場前，教頭Joachim Loew告訴他說：「向全世界證明，你比Messi更出色，你可以決定比賽。」

結果Goetze果然幫助球隊拿下冠軍，德國雖然人才濟濟，但Goetze的未來在國家隊應該不會缺席。

Goetze說：「熱情是贏得比賽的關鍵，但某些時候你必須冒險去創造得分的機會，總要有個人敢跳出來衝鋒陷陣。」

媒體採訪他時，也提起他有個「德國Messi」的綽號，他對記者表示：「不，我比較想成為德國的Cristiano Ronaldo 。」

因為他覺得自己的踢球風格比較像 Ronaldo，也希望像葡萄牙球星一樣，而且他早就說過自己不像Messi，但22歲的Goetze現在獲得 Ronaldo跟Messi渴求不到的東西。

Goetze的父親是多特蒙德一所大學的電信工程教授，但他與哥哥、弟弟都是足球選手，「我們從小就在玩球，隨時隨地都在玩，第一次接觸時我只能用手摸，過了一年我就能雙腳控制了。」

當年父親為了工作帶著他們搬到多特蒙德，Goetze的職業生涯也從那開始，很早就嶄露天分的他，也被拜仁慕尼黑看上，去年轉隊時，還被多特蒙德球迷視為背叛者。
