Lionel Messi和Angel Di Maria精采的雙重奏搭配，阿根廷譜出勝利樂章，晉級八強。「我們用生命、拿出靈魂，在場上奮戰。」踢進致勝球的Di Maria說。

送出助攻的Messi，當然功不可沒。「他可以自由跑動、到需要的位置，」阿根廷教頭Alejandro Sabella說，「跟碰到其他隊伍一樣，Messi只要一拿球，就會被團團包圍。」

這位教頭肯定子弟兵下半場之後的表現：「上半場瑞士很活躍，但之後就是我們的天下。其實我們該在正規90分鐘就贏球，很明顯地，下半場、延長賽，都是我們機會比較多。」

「除了幾個地方之外，我們今天踢得很棒。我要恭喜每位子弟兵，他們整場比賽都沒失去平衡。雖然總有需要改進的地方，但沒什麼好批評的。」

接下來，阿根廷要碰上比利時，爭取晉級四強。

「我們現在的夢想，就是準備好下一戰，」教頭Sabella說，「我們要前進四強，就是如此，別再多想。我們得一場一場來。」
