海軍改變心意 中海艦不拆了

民國35年在我國海軍服役，直到99年除役的中海號戰車登陸艦（LST201），曾在47年台海戰役，力抗共軍魚雷快艇圍攻，擊沉一艘快艇，是現存唯一曾在台海戰役有戰功的艦艇，但海軍打算將其作為靶艦使用。經媒體報導，引起社會重視。

海軍今天中午指出，先前確曾將中海艦列入靶艦，至今並未實際運用。如今決定順應國人意見，致力保留本艦現狀，後續再視海軍預算，或地方政府運用需求，再行規畫。海軍司令部也對民眾與媒體關注重視海軍軍史文物，表達感謝之意。
