新加坡航空貨機 拒載魚翅

繼新加坡濱海灣金沙集團日前宣布，停止在餐廳供應魚翅後，新加坡航空貨機也將自八月一日起拒載魚翅，以保護沙魚。

新加坡媒體今日報（Today）報導，新加坡航空貨運（Singapore Airline Cargo）宣布從八月起拒載魚翅，以響應保育觀念，檢討吃魚翅的華人文化。

金沙集團日前表示，官方活動或旗下餐廳都不會供應魚翅。

多家亞太地區的航空公司如國泰、大韓、韓亞、澳洲、紐西蘭、菲律賓航空等多家航空公司已表態不載魚翅，新航是最新加入的航空公司。

根據國際瀕臨絕種野生動植物貿易調查委員會（TRAFFIC）去年報告，二○○○年到二○○九年間，新加坡是全球四大魚翅出口國之一，也是世界第三大魚翅進口國。

野生動物危機創辦人霍福德（Alex Hofford）說，過去十餘年，沙魚因魚翅交易而成為受害者，新航的政策可以幫助東南亞的沙魚數量慢慢恢復。
