「年輕就是本錢！」22歲小將王維中昨後援上陣，對小熊隊後援1局無失分，被打出1支安打，飆出1次三振，總計目前在大聯盟出賽7場，共投8.2局，自責分率下降至15.58，所屬的釀酒人隊以11比5獲勝。

8局上釀酒人以8分領先時，推出王維中登板，雖一上場就先被魯吉安諾敲出右外野二壘安打，不過他之後讓卡斯狄歐、薛爾霍茲、歐特連續出局，也順利解除失分危機。

王維中擺脫前場對勇士隊後援0.2局被敲2轟、狂失5分的低潮，此役最快球速飆到93英哩(約150公里)，只用了16球，就完成任務。8局上2出局、三壘上有跑者魯吉安諾時，王維中以速球讓歐特站著「拿香」三振出局，也展現他十足的韌性。

總教練羅尼基賽後也稱讚王維中的表現，他說：「我真的很開心他在8局出賽的演出，我認為他需要一個很棒、很『乾淨』的一局，並且我們真的認為他表現出色。」

釀酒人教練團希望重建王維中信心，考慮到他這場表現優異，沒有在9局再讓他續投，主因就是盼他能記住這樣的表現，期待日後有更佳成績。

釀酒人隊全場共敲出16支安打，包括主炮伯朗扛出本季第8轟在內，單場5打數3安打，貢獻3分打點，成為致勝大功臣。
