台灣之光 嘉療獲全球典範獎

（中央社記者龍珮寧台北2014年5月16日電）衛生福利部嘉南療養院榮獲世界衛生組織「健康促進醫院全球典範獎」，從全球1000家醫院脫穎而出，成為台灣之光。

第22屆健康促進醫院國際研討會在西班牙巴塞隆納舉辦，嘉南療養院獲頒「健康促進醫院全球典範獎」殊榮，由院長鄭靜明及護理科主任沈淑華親赴西班牙領獎，成為台灣之光。

衛福部常務次長許銘能指出，目前全球共有41個國家／地區健康促進醫院網絡，已有超過1000家醫療院所加入會員，截止今年4月止，全台已有131家醫療院所獲得國際認證，成為全球第一大網絡。

許銘能說，嘉南療養院從建院以來積極配合國家公共衛生政策及國際健康促進網絡潮流，隨著民國98年1月菸害防制新法實施，雖然精神病患比一般人更難戒菸，而且外界有對精神醫療機構推動無菸政策反對聲浪，仍投入戒菸推動無菸醫院，打破各界對精神病患無法戒菸的迷思。

嘉南療養院長鄭靜明說，醫院不再侷限疾病治療，應整體性考量生理、心理，除投入健康促進醫院推動，結合在地人文，與員工、病人、家屬及社區民眾合作創作院區多處彩繪健康步道及病房藝術畫廊，將醫院公園化。
