空軍大揭密我偵察機勝共軍戰鬥機

空軍司令部每月發行的中國空軍月刊四月號，揭露了冷戰期間台海兩岸空軍交手的一段秘辛，空軍12中隊飛行員陳懷操縱RF-84偵察機，執行大陸偵察任務，遭遇共軍派出米格17攔截，陳懷技高一籌，將偵察機繞到米格機後方，拍下米格機清晰照片，如果陳懷座機有武裝，當時很可能擊落這架米格機。

根據空軍的記載，1957年4月15日，陳懷與王兆湘兩位飛行員，共同執行RF-84偵察大陸上海的任務。陳懷沒有武裝的偵察機，能夠繞到敵機後方拍照片，這在空戰史上是很罕見的遭遇。

米格17因為優越的運動性能，在越戰期間曾讓美國空軍飛行員吃足苦頭，當時駐泰國美國空軍第八戰鬥機聯隊指揮官羅賓歐斯，個人擊落四架米格機，其中就有米格17，羅賓歐斯當時對米格17的性能評價很高。
