【時報-台北電】繼Amazon（亞馬遜）在2月份宣布來台灣成立辦事處，並推廣亞馬遜雲端服務（Amazon Web Service，AWS）後，Google昨（15）日也宣布針對亞洲企業的需求，將正式推出「Google Cloud Platform」，台灣是該平台登陸亞洲的第一站。

雲端運算的使用彈性、快速，吸引不少企業捨去自行建置基礎建設，改採公有雲的服務。而全球幾家公有雲服務的大廠，像是亞馬遜、微軟Azure、Google等，也都積極爭取此商機。亞馬遜及微軟均已在台灣提供服務，而昨日Google也正式宣布進軍亞洲市場。

Google在台灣正式推出的Google雲端平台，首波服務包括有Google Compute Engine、Google Cloud Storage、Google Cloud SQL，接下來還會再陸續推出Google App Engine、Google BigQuery和Google Datastore等服務。(新聞來源：工商時報─記者何英煒／台北報導)
