一條牙膏3千元！巧克力口味「吞下免驚」

廠商競相研發新口味牙膏，美國一家業者推出巧克力口味的牙膏，可使兒童更喜歡刷牙，但售價高達99.99美元 (約台幣3000元)。

美高級口腔衛生產品公司Theodent的300系列巧克力口味牙膏不含氟，但某些替代成分仍能保護牙齒，甚至強化琺瑯質。這款牙膏售價為何偏高不詳，但Theodent表示，他們在牙膏中添加可可的萃取物製作牙膏。其他包括可可鹼、鈣、磷酸鹽。Theodent的獨家專利配方稱為Rennou。

大部分兒童愛吃糖，如果小孩不小心把巧克力口味牙膏吞下去，家長也不必擔心，因為Theodent 300無毒。

Theodent其實有比較平價的產品，例如售價9.99美元 (約台幣300元)的Classic系列，但目前缺貨。

個人衛生保健產品大廠P&G最近也推出新系列牙膏，包括巧克力口味的牙膏，稱為Mint Chocolate Trek，售價只要台幣150元左右。P&G表示，顧客反映說，牙膏口味讓人生膩，該公司因而研發新口味。

P&G科學溝通部門主管史卡奇里表示，他們的獨特技術能延緩薄荷味發揮作用，所以消費者會先嘗到巧克力味。薄荷味比巧克力味慢30到40秒出現。
