民進黨主席蘇貞昌宣布退選下一屆黨主席，高雄市長陳菊上午參加高雄展覽館開幕典禮時表示，她認同蘇貞昌過去的努力與貢獻，一生為民主的投入，以及此刻的重大決斷，都值得台灣人民的高度肯定。

陳菊強調，歷史會記得舞台上每一個漂亮的身影，不會在意它是到來或者是離去。
