台中市首座現地型強震即時警報系統，今天在潭子區新興國小啟用，地震儀可偵測地震，在破壞抵達前10至20秒廣播，民眾把握關鍵時間逃命。上午國小學生頭戴橘色保護帽，在秒數內跑到空地避難，演練逼真。
