智利大火如煉獄　11死1萬人撤離家園

智利第六大城、港口城市瓦爾帕萊索（Valparaiso）附近山區近兩日燒起森林大火，火勢蔓延波及住宅區，濃煙直衝天際，恐怖情景宛如煉獄，至今已奪去至少11條人命，毀壞1000棟房屋，超過1萬人被迫撤離家園。
 
美聯社報導，經過消防人員齊心協力，終於撲滅6個山丘上的火勢，避免大火延燒到不遠處的國會建築。但稍晚2處野火復燃，消防隊難以控制火勢。智利總統巴切蕾特（Michelle Bachelet）稱，「這是一起慘重悲劇，可能是瓦爾帕萊索市歷來最嚴重火災」。（林奐成╱綜合外電報導）
