BMW北美設新廠 數月內敲定

（中央社台北2014年4月8日電）彭博報導，BMW集團（Bayerische Motoren Werke AG DE-BMW）持續推行設立北美第2座工廠的計畫，以滿足北美地區對BMW車輛增強的需求。

根據彭博取得的BMW內部員工刊物，BMW生產部門負責人克魯格（Herald Krueger）說：「我們將在未來數月內做出決定。在北美大陸，仍有十足潛力。」

熟悉內情人士說，BMW已縮小地點選項，至少有2個位址在墨西哥，還在考量名單中。其中1人說，BMW考慮在這座新廠生產最暢銷的3系列（3-Series）車款。

BMW發言人施密特（Mathias Schmidt）接受電話採訪說：「我們經常在不同國家尋找未來可能的生產地點，作為長期成長策略的一部分。不過，對在北美設立新工廠，尚未作成任何決定。」（譯者：中央社羅苑韶）
