加州立法 禁殺人鯨表演

2013年上映的紀錄片「黑鯨(Blackfish)」抨擊聖地牙哥海洋世界(Sea World)漠視動物權益，因而促成一項法案，海洋世界以後可能得取消虎鯨(俗稱殺人鯨)的表演，並得移除展演館內10頭虎鯨。
加州議會將於當地時間8日就該法案舉行首次聽證會，支持者主張，虎鯨體型太大且相當聰明，因而不適合由人類飼養；海洋世界則表示，虎鯨受到很好的照顧，相關研究有助保育工作。
「黑鯨」這部紀錄片指出，海洋世界之所以有訓練師遭到虎鯨攻擊而死亡，是因為虎鯨受到虐待，使得牠們攻擊性大增。海洋世界則宣稱，該紀錄片是在宣傳反對人類飼養動物。
該法案是由民主黨議員布魯姆(Richard Bloom)提出，法案也禁止虎鯨的進出口，而海洋世界可以繼續圈養現有的虎鯨到牠們死亡為止。
