因強碰韓國電信業者銷售禁令，Samsung GALAXY S5 在韓國初期銷量可能會受到影響。

由於韓國三大電信業者 SK、KT 與 LG U+ 日前提供用戶超過 27 萬韓元、約合新台幣 7,700 元的手機購買補貼，違反電信監管部門的規定，被處以 45 天銷售禁令，而首當其衝的是 Samsung 即將推出的旗艦新機 GALAXY S5。

消息指出，SK 禁令時間是 2014 年 4 月 5 日至 5 月 19 日、KT 為 3 月 13 日至 4 月 26 日，而 LG U+ 則是 3 月 13 日至 4 月 4 日，以及 4 月 27 日至 5 月 28 日；由於適逢三大電信業者禁令時間，估計會影響 Samsung GALAXY S5 初期在韓國的銷售表現。

台灣暫定會在 2014 年 4 月 11 日與全球同步推出這款手機；另外，針對 GALAXY S5 的 PCB 廠失火意外事件，Samsung 表示他們將盡力協助DAP公司穩定其營運狀況，且因有多個供應商，GALAXY S5 預期不會有生產延遲的情況發生。
