大葉校友黃薇 ELLE新銳設計大賞奪冠

日前由《ELLE》雜誌主辦的2014時裝設計新銳大賞，由新銳設計師、大葉大學校友黃薇，一舉奪冠，抱回50萬元創業獎金。(陳映竹報導)

2009年從大葉大學造形藝術學系畢業的黃薇，去年就在倫敦成立個人品牌，國際巨星女神卡卡（Lady Gaga）曾連續兩天穿著她設計的衣服亮相，被臺灣媒體譽為「時尚界臺灣之光」。

大葉大學造藝系主任廖秀玲說，黃薇在大學時期為了實現英國留學夢，黃薇唸大學時半工半讀，在員林鎮租了一個小店面賣衣服。從那時候就可以看出，黃薇對衣服的品味。

奪下「2014 ELLE NEW TALENT AWARDS」時裝設計新銳大賞的50萬創業獎金，黃薇很高興。去年受到女神卡卡青睞的服飾，就是她利用極簡的形式，結合大學時期學到的陶瓷、玻璃鑲嵌、染布技法，表現一種未來感。
