新竹砍樹雙煞落網 「擋到我的路」

「砍樹兇手找到了！」新竹縣竹北市光明六路與自強北路口一株台灣櫸樹，上月下旬遭砍，經民眾向民代陳情、在網路社群貼照，引發極大關注後，新竹縣警方連日調閱監視器，前晚間快速「找」到嫌疑人。

砍除櫸樹兩男子被依竊盜罪函送時表示，因為開車進出房屋接待中心時，該樹妨礙吊車進出施工，才痛下「殺」機。

警方指出，6月24日凌晨，49歲彭男與57歲黃男趁夜砍樹，路口監視器拍到兩人開車離去身影。警方以車追人，終於在他倆住處，發現樹木「陳屍」在門前。

全力搶救路樹的副議長林為洲與議員高偉凱表示，該棵台灣櫸，在地生長約15年，警方查出「兇手」外，也希望全民不要再亂砍樹。
