基隆動保防疫所成立 招募5獸醫師

有鑑於去年國內爆發狂犬病風暴，基隆市府昨天在信二路成立基隆市動物保護防疫所，並招募5名獸醫師，為列管的2萬4千隻犬貓維護健康與提供諮詢服務。

首任動保所所長陳瑞濱表示，過去基隆僅配置2名獸醫師，然而境內列管犬貓卻高達2萬4千隻，人力配置明顯不足，現在成立動物保護防疫所後，將會增聘至5名獸醫師，未來除了可以推行防疫工作外，還可以推動各項動物福利相關議題，也有多餘人力可供民眾諮詢動保資訊。

陳瑞濱說，未來除了基本的防疫工作等事項外，民眾重視的食安問題也是動防所未來的工作重點，動防所將會與衛生局合作，如果民眾常食用的豬、雞、鴨傳出疫情，也可以協助衛生局檢驗，以確保民眾食的安全、吃得安心。

市長張通榮昨天在動防所揭牌儀式時說，基隆市動物保護防疫等工作，遠遠落後雙北10年，去年爆發的狂犬病疫情造成全台緊張，所以現在市府趕緊「亡羊補牢」，落實動物防疫，避免傳染病疫情侵襲基隆。民眾如果有動物防疫、獸醫相關問題，可以電洽(02)2428-0677詢問。
