這場比賽，韓國隊上半場0：3的結果，讓他們措手不及，韓國主帥洪明甫賽後對上半場的夢遊表現表示遺憾，「上半場，總體來說，我們的防守很不到位，所以我們一下子丟了3球。對於這一點，我感到真的非常遺憾。」

洪明甫繼續說：「我的球員在上半場注意力的確不夠集中，不過下半場還是恢復我們原來的狀態，他們竭盡全力並且攻入兩球。可惜上半場我們丟球太多，這真的非常遺憾。在中場休息的時候,我要求大家要全力進攻，而他們也做到了這一點，所以下半場的情況明顯有所改觀。」

最後一戰和比利時的比賽，洪明甫沒有更多要求，只有竭盡全力去拼。”

奉獻1球的前鋒孫興民說：「上半場我們的丟球太多，失球太多，踢得非常被動。但如果我們可以一直像下半場的表現一樣，也許結果不應該是這樣。我們在中場休息的時候強調了要加強進攻，但最終還是輸了球，這讓人感到非常遺憾。和比利時的比賽對我們來說非常重要，我們一定會全力以赴，並且做好充分的準備。」
