windows XP 無法安裝網卡的驅動程式

想請教各位大大~
我的桌電 (Acer emachine EL1330) 要使用家中的無線網路，
因此購買無線網卡 (EDIMAX EW-7811Un) ，
但卻無法成功安裝動程式，安裝過程中會跳出"please insert your adapter"
而被迫結束安裝，但我也把USB網卡插上，所以不理解釋到底發生什麼事?
懇請大大幫我解惑，感謝~!!
