總統訪東港漁會 強調護漁不護短

總統馬英九今天中午訪視屏東東港區漁會，除指示行政院農委會持續推動各項養護管理措施、促進漁業永續發展外，並強調政府針對台菲重疊海域已進行常態性護漁，充分展現政府保護漁民、捍衛海疆的決心。此外，他也肯定東港地區採限量限期捕撈櫻花蝦模式，讓櫻花蝦產業每年呈穩定成長，並頒發「漁業楷模」給東港櫻花蝦產銷班。

馬英九強調，讓漁民安心出海捕魚是政府的責任，除持續擴充巡護能量，後續將朝與菲國簽署具法律拘束力文件之方向努力，持續與菲方進行協商，確保我漁民在南方專屬經濟海域作業之安全與權益。
