男子愈愛看色情片 腦部灰質愈少

研究人員發現，觀看大量色情材料的男子，腦部灰質 (神經細胞)較少。不過，這項研究並未能斷定色情材料是否真的會使腦部萎縮。

柏林Max Planck人類發展研究所招募了64名21歲至45歲的男性。他們一開始並不知道研究人員在監測他們腦部對色情材料的反應，只獲知 這是包括磁振造影 (MRI)測量的科學研究。他們填寫調查問卷，描述他們觀看多少色情材料，並顯示他們平均每周在這上面花略超過四小時。研究人員讓他們觀看色情網站上的露骨影像以及其他非色情影像，並用MRI掃描他們腦部研究結果發現，色情影像看得愈多的人，腦部紋狀體右尾核的灰質質量愈少。

此外，一旦看到淫穢影像，他們腦部處理推動力部分的功能也會減弱。但是，究竟是紋狀體較小的男性更愛看色情影像，還是看太多鹹濕影像會使腦部萎縮？研究人員說，紋狀體較小的人，可能需要更多外在刺激才能獲得愉悅感受，因此看色情影像更能讓他們得到滿足，並可能促使他們更愛看這類東西。

他們主張進一步研究色情材料的長期影響，並調查其因果關係。
