心肺衰竭 余陳月瑛享壽89歲

前高雄縣長余陳月瑛，因為呼吸衰竭，25日晚上10點半在高雄長庚醫院辭世，享壽89歲，遺體一早也由子女送回橋頭老家暫厝，根據了解，這幾年她每天為洗腎所苦，長年居住在鳳山。

余陳月瑛是台灣第一位黨外民選縣長余登發的媳婦，擔任過省議員、立法委員、兩任高雄縣長，並順利將縣長位置交棒給自己的兒子余政憲，其他兒女余雅玲、余政道也都擔任過好幾屆民意代表，余陳月瑛在扁政府時代，還獲聘為總統府資政，但晚年被指控掏空她所創立的高苑科大資產，並涉入新瑞都弊案，開始深居簡出，高雄余家班的勢力，也逐漸退出地方政壇。
