台灣五福旅行社組成的26人旅行團今天(23日)中午在中國大陸福建遭遇大水，整車翻覆，落入九龍江，造成19人受傷、7人失蹤。交通部觀光局晚間7時一度證實7名失蹤者已罹難。不過，觀光局在晚間11時40分緊急發出澄清稿，表示經與大陸福建省台辦處長、漳州台辦副主任確認，事故遊覽車確已吊起，但7名失蹤旅客僅尋獲2具屍體，其餘5人尚未尋獲，現場仍持續搜救中。
觀光局23日晚間7時原本表示經與福建省旅遊局確認，7名失蹤旅客僅尋獲2具屍體，其餘5名尚未尋獲。不過，中華民國旅行商業同業公會秘書長許高慶引據廈門市旅遊局的說法，表示7名失蹤者都已尋獲、並失去生命跡象。
8時15分左右，觀光局終於和廈門市旅遊局聯繫上，對方表示7具遺體已送至醫院，因此確認7名失蹤者已罹難。
不過，福建省旅遊局表示7名失蹤者確定2人死亡、5人下落不明。因此觀光局深夜緊急發出更正稿，以福建省台辦最後回報的訊息為據。
