技壓賈西亞 潘威倫本季首勝

義大犀牛與統一獅今（17日）於台南球場碰頭，兩隊分別派出洋投賈西亞（Freddy Garcia）與「嘟嘟」潘威倫擔任先發，這場百勝級投手同場對決的戲碼賽前格外受到矚目，不料賈西亞表現不如預期，五局之中共丟掉5分，反觀潘威倫主投七局，僅被打出7支零星安打，無失分，即便義大在八、九兩局追回3分，終場統一還是以6比3獲勝，潘威倫拿下本季首勝，並獲選為單場MVP，而賈西亞則苦吞來台首敗。

一開賽，獅隊開路先鋒林志祥率先擊出一、二壘間穿越安打，並成功盜上二壘，面臨得點圈危機，賈西亞連續送出兩次三振，卻不料接連遭到鄧志偉、陳鏞基敲出安打，共失掉2分。

取得兩分領先，第三局高國慶的適時安打，同樣帶有打點；五局下鄧志偉則是從賈西亞手中揮出中外野陽春砲，為個人本季第8轟，超越Lamigo桃猿隊的林泓育，再度要回領先地位，前六局打完獅隊取得6分領先。

6分落後的義大犀牛總算在八局有所回應，胡金龍在二、三壘有人的情況下擊出左半邊平飛二壘打，帶有2分打點，比數形成2比6，雖然九局義大靠著高孝儀的安打再追回1分，但對戰局沒有太大影響，明日雙方將移師屏東球場，進行三連戰最終回。
