基隆市警局去年底在林姓女子住家，查獲包括陳、王等4人，涉嫌打麻將賭博，陳男等人被依社會秩序維護法，各被裁罰9千元，陳男不服向法院聲明異議，辯稱「只是去收會錢！」王姓証人也改口供說，當時因擔心警察不讓他回家，才會供稱與陳男等4人打麻將，屋主有抽頭1次500元；警員証稱現場並未扣得任何金錢，3,800 元賭資是王在警局才拿出來的；法官認為林姓屋主涉嫌提供賭博營利場所案，經檢方不起訴處分，且其金額與職業賭場，動輒數10萬元甚至數百萬元規模差距懸殊，裁定原處分撤銷。（蔡進男／基隆報導）
