英失業率跌 5年來最低

（中央社記者黃貞貞倫敦2014年4月16日專電）英國國家統計局今天公布報告指出，從去年12月到今年2月失業人數減少7萬7000人，總數達224萬人，失業率達6.9%，是自2009年以來最低紀錄。

英國官員表示，報告顯示，英國經濟已重返繁榮之路。

1年前英國的失業率高達7.9%，去年9月到11月跌到7.1%，今天公布的失業率6.9%優於分析師預估的7.1%。

另一方面，去年12月到今年2月，英國民眾的平均薪資較去年同期增加1.7%，增幅與通貨膨脹率相同，是2010年來首次。就業人數超過3000萬人，也是數10年來最高。

財政大臣歐斯本（George Osborne）表示，就業數據強勁顯示政府的經濟計劃奏效，但仍有很多工作需要努力推動，強化英國經濟的韌性。

英國中央銀行原本計劃一旦失業率跌破7%，將調升維持超過5年的0.5%短期利率，但最近表示，除了失業率還將參考企業投資、外銷出口及生產量等多項因素。一般預料，明年春天央行可能就會升息。
