卡尼：英格蘭銀行可能明春升息

（中央社台北2014年9月9日電）英國央行英格蘭銀行（Bank of England）總裁卡尼（Mark Carney）說，明年春天可能將目前處於創紀錄低點的基準利率提高，因為工資成長加速，且復甦獲得動能。

卡尼告訴在英格蘭利物浦舉行的工會大會（TradesUnion Congress）年會，他們應準備好迎接借貸成本從0.5%提高，否則英格蘭銀行將通貨膨脹維持在2%的目標將會有危險。

他說：「如果利率按照市場預期的道路走，也就是說在明年春天開始升息，並且在此之後逐步升高」，通膨將達到2%的目標，且將創造120萬個工作機會。
