協助反恐　美運送軍武給黎巴嫩

美國政府向黎巴嫩軍隊提供武器彈藥和裝備29日運抵貝魯特，以增強黎巴嫩軍隊反恐能力。據黎巴嫩媒體報導，一架裝載武器彈藥和裝備的美國飛機當天上午抵達貝魯特國際機場，這批武器裝備包括不同規格的迫擊炮彈、肩扛式火箭筒、新式機槍等。 　　

美國駐黎巴嫩大使大衛黑爾在機場舉行的武器交接儀式上表示，這些武器無論從數量還是品質上都符合黎巴嫩軍隊的反恐需要，美國今後幾周將向黎巴嫩軍隊提供更多的彈藥和重武器，以增強軍隊保衛邊界、維護國民安全和打擊極端恐怖組織的能力。這些武器裝備將在今後幾周內陸續運抵黎巴嫩，交付行動將持續數月。 　　

敘利亞極端組織武裝分子8月2日向黎巴嫩與敘利亞接壤的阿爾薩勒地區的軍事設施發動襲擊，並一度佔據阿爾薩勒鎮。黎巴嫩軍隊隨即在該地區集結重兵同武裝分子展開激戰。衝突爆發後，黎巴嫩政府頻頻開展外交活動，請求國際社會向其軍隊提供反恐所需的緊急援助。（國際中心／綜合外電報導）
