過了3天，Valhalla球場出現Tiger Woods的蹤影，前球王確定是年度最後一場四大賽的參賽者！

上週在普利司通邀請賽最後一輪傷退，Woods的背傷讓人一度以為他賽季就此提前結束，但他出現在球場準備練球時，引起大騷動。

Woods表示，傷退的原因起於神經壓迫，與上次的背部手術非同一部位，當物理治療師替他推拿後，痙攣就消失了。

早在Woods現身前，大會就放消息說Woods已經在球場，但之後又澄清說無法確定Woods是否真的抵達球場。

之後Woods的車子駛入屬於它的停車位，拿著球袋與桿弟走向球場開始，數百名觀眾開始圍著他，從揮桿與擊球狀態看不出有不舒服的跡象。

既然回來了，大眾關注的焦點又回到萊德盃上，Woods說：「專注在我的比賽，設法努力拿下這場比賽，這是我唯一能控制的。」
